Winter at Moarhof

The Perfect Holiday in the Dolomites

From the stunning ski resorts to the charming ice skating on the Völser Weiher lake, winter at Moarhof in Fiè allo Sciliar has everything winter lovers could wish for. The Christmas season in the village and the Christmas markets in South Tyrol’s cities add to the festive atmosphere, making it an extra special time of year.

Ski Adventures in the Dolomites

Just a few kilometers from our farm, two of the most beautiful ski areas in South Tyrol are waiting for you. Alpe di Siusi offers wide, sunny slopes—perfect for families. Together with Val Gardena, it boasts 181 kilometers of ski slopes, 79 lifts, and direct access to the world-famous Sellaronda circuit. Even after multiple days, there’s always something new to discover.

If you’re looking for more ski fun, don’t miss Carezza Ski Resort at the foot of the Catinaccio. Blessed with sunshine and spectacular panoramic views of the Dolomites, it offers ideal conditions for skiers, snowboarders, and even cross-country skiers or winter hikers.

Both ski resorts are easily accessible via shuttle bus, which stops right next to our farm, or by car.

Cross-Country Skiing

on Alpe di Siusi

80 kilometers of perfectly groomed sunny cross-country trails between 1,800 and 2,200 meters in altitude await you. Whether you prefer classic skiing or sporty skating, Alpe di Siusi offers some of the most beautiful cross-country ski tracks in South Tyrol. Enjoy the endless expanses and snow-covered forests of Europe’s largest high-altitude plateau—a true winter paradise.

Winter Adventures Off the Beaten Path

Off the slopes, there are still many more winter adventures to discover! Snowshoe hiking allows you to experience the untouched nature of the Dolomites at a peaceful pace and enjoy the winter landscape from a whole new perspective.

For those seeking a bit more speed, tobogganing is the perfect activity. The toboggan runs around Moarhof and Alpe di Siusi guarantee fun for the whole family! Whether you try the runs at Tuff Alm, Hofer Alpl, Puflatsch, Zallinger, or Icaro-Monte Piz, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
